After graduation from Wentworth Institute of Technology, Phil studied Industrial Design at the Massachusetts College of Art. Footwear design – how to make a shoe that truly met the needs of various athletes – caught his imagination, and he pursued opportunities at Converse, Stride Rite, Titleist, Footjoy, and Reebok. Recognized as a leader in creative thinking in the industry, Phil was recruited by Sherwood, a Chinese footwear company. In China, Phil honed his design, production, project management, and client service skills.
SpringBoost, a Swiss footwear company, recruited Phil for their US launch. Coordinating payroll, production, shipping, customer service, recruiting, sales, and marketing, Percuoco was instrumental in all elements of setting up the US headquarters. Post-launch, he became Director of Sales, managing a team that grew sales from zero to $1,000,000.
Though the footwear industry had a lot to offer, Percuoco felt distanced from his design roots. At Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Graphic Arts and Web Design Program, he immersed himself in graphic design, illustration, programming, and a myriad of creative applications. After a year as a Web Product Designer at Fresh Tilled Soil in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, Phil founded Boston Web Creative, and then ten years later merged Boston Web Creative with Juuced.
